I have been working with children of different ages for 7 years. I studied pre-school and extracurricular pedagogy and taught children at preschool and primary school. I also led free-time activities for kids in Czech Republic and England. I have a patient, respectful approach to children and I see spending time with them as mutually enriching. My greatest interest is music, especially piano and flute.

Since my childhood I have been surrounded by music. I studied singing at the Prague Conservatory and worked as an opera soloist. With my son’s entry to preschool, I had the opportunity to work there as a volunteer. I found myself much happier with children than in theater. I completed my education and also worked as a deputy director. I created a year-round educational system of etiquette for preschool children. My passion apart from music is books, especially fiction, philosophy, psychology and politics.

Hello! I’m Sarah. Originally from Colorado, USA, I have been living in the Czech Republic since 2013 and feel very lucky to call it home. Leaving university with a degree in Linguistics, I continued to study World Englishes, TEFL, and TESOL with a focus on young learners. I have been working with children here in Prague for seven years and I still enjoy it so much! In my free-time, I love reading in the many parks Prague has to offer, going for hikes with my dog Charlie (half Beagle/half Dachshund), and creating ceramics.

Already during my economics studies I started to devote myself to children and I have led dance lessons in a children’s club. I have also been very happy to look after my cousins since their early months. After gaining some experience, I decided that I wanted to work with the children full-time and on a professional level. So I completed my education and became a teaching assistant. I love to spend my free time with family, friends and my beloved four-legged friend.

I love children and at work I use my personal experience with the upbringing of my seven-year-old son. As a teenager, I started babysitting, later I completed the teaching assistant education. I also took care of the elderly in the past and I have practice from a special kindergarten class, where I worked with children with various disorders. When caring for children, I apply a positive, respectful and individual approach. I like to spend my free time with my son and our dog in nature. We also discover art and history together in museums and exhibitions.

My relationship with children and passion for childcare began when I was a scout leader, and in addition to my relationship with nature, I also built a warm relationship with the game as such. I love children’s authenticity, immediacy and inexhaustible energy. While studying at the Faculty of Education at Charles University, I had the opportunity to study and work with children in the USA. I also have experience as a class teacher, vocational teacher, teaching assistant and educator. But it has always attracted me to younger children and smaller groups. In addition, I also like photographing nature, fine arts, cooking and baking, and I also like to improvise when playing the violin, flute or singing or dancing.

ADÉLA STEJSKALOVÁ

speech therapist

As a kid, I wanted to be a teacher, but during my studies I got interested in speech therapy, which really captivated me. It connects everything I like: working with children, feeling that I’m passing on something nice and helping someone. Most kids have speech therapy associated with pleasant memories – as a place where they went to play and soo it should be also taken. I graduated in psychology and special education at Charles University. I love animals and nature. At home I have 4 degus – incredibly fun little creatures and good friends.

I am the mother of an adult daughter, but the time when she was discovering the world as a child was the most beautiful for me. And that is why I have been working for the little ones for almost five years now and I am happy among them. In my free time I love to walk in the forest, read, grow orchids and in the summer herbs at our weekend house.

Although I am an only child, I have spent time with children constantly thanks to the large family I come from. I have had a strong bond with them from an early age. I like to take care of children and guide them through the first years of their lives. Ever since I was a teenager, I have often babysat and now I am taking care of kids daily alongside my university studies. This work fulfills me a lot, it brings me so much joy and I like to give that joy back to the children. Before my work at EduArt kindergarten, I was convinced that I wanted to have only one child in the future, but after a few months here I changed my mind and I definitely want to have more. My interests include philosophy, languages and travel.
